Was asked by Leigh to shoot her in an Audrey Hepburn/ Classic Hollywood style. Was lots of fun researching the old photos and then doing the shoot. Let me know how I did!

While I think you captured the look with clothing and make up, it doesn't have the same "feel" as the lighting isn't the same. Still, these are terrific images, but the lighting isn't quite right if your goal was to copy that style. Sue Cassidy

Jan 16, 2011 07:29 | #5 Thanks all! Lots to learn still, this was my first attempt but I am sure there will be more. suecassidy wrote in post #11649843 ![]() The George Hurrell style of old hollywood glamour is one that has been discussed at length here on POTN. don't know if you researched how he did it... I did look at his work and others of the era and was intending to get that look. As usuall, I had a list of things I was going to try (single gridded spot, silver gridded BD) and once I got shooting forgot to check my list! Going to have to print it out and place it close by for next shoot. Didn't occur to me until after the model left Andrushka wrote in post #11649828 ![]() ....You don't happen to have a diagram or behind then scene shot for 3 do you? White gridded BD above her, I was shooting in front of large softbox for fill, then a gridded spot up high pointing at the back of her head. Gridded spot on floor for backdrop light.
