I've been playing with some black and white cheerleader pictures I have taken throughout the football season. These were all shot with the 300 f/2.8 IS on my 7D, handheld at f/4.5. I added some grain in LR3 to make it look more like film  Comments and criticisms appreciated.

49er fan myself but I'll comment anyway. Nice shots number 1 has my vote. Also agreed you can't take a bad shot of a cheerleader haha.

How can your eye see that pole? I'll see what I can do to make it less obtrusive. Thanks for the input.

Unfortunately I never had an assignment for the niners. I've heard only good things about those ladies ;)

Cool to see these. My sister was a Raiderette for 5 yrs. .. 4 in Oakland & the 1st yr in LA. (if that lets you know how long ago that was) .. back in the days of Ted Hendrix, John Matuzak, etc

A few weeks ago I was given a slide/negative scanner.. and though the copies are soft, I scanned a few old transparencies.

How COOL is that?! The outfits are the same... except now they're more "cheeky" That's awesome though. Thanks for sharing. If you scan more, feel free to post them.

*phew*.. I didn't mean to overstep by posting these.. came back to delete them... glad they're ok with you.
It's interesting to see the changes in the uniforms, isn't it. It looks like, in your pix, that they've reduced the size of the pompoms. (btw, I neglected to mention that I really like your images!)

The Raiderettes just had a big reunion.. a month or so ago. Did you go take photos?
I know my sister has some snapshots on facebook. .. all of the older Raiderettes still look great.
