Is it possible to manually fire the flash from the flash IE not using any external trigger?

I'm hoping to use a 10 stop NF filter and wanted to iluminate a particular object but wanted the flash not to be linked wirelessly to the camera.

Any ideas?

Yes. Press the Pilot button when you want it to flash.
