Australian Surf

As most of you would have heard there was flooding around SE QLD. One positive is there are waves! Albeit very dirty waves. Here is a couple i snapped this morning. It was about 4-6 ft breaking in a foot of water. These photos are from Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast

The flooding in Austrailia is crazy and I pray for the people to pull through. I'm glad you can show a silver lining with these in-water shots. You seem to be able to get yourself in a good spot to catch the action in the barrel. I'd be too scared to drop in on those waves knowing there's only 1 foot of water below.

Great shots mate, love the commitment. I'm still trying to find a hollow enough wave in Bali for the same style shots, albeit with green or blue water!!

Its just sediment run off from the rocks up here, no sewage or pontoons or anything haha.
Its funny though there was an article in the local paper about a teenager who was dumped in the surf, he landed on a cat fish and got two barbs stuck in his back, as well as the catfish itself which was flapping around causing pain. Catfish are freshwater fish

'tis alright, he's only on an Eskie lid. Can't fall far!

Note: an Eskie is what you Yanks call a "Cooler/Car fridge".
