Not been using my gear as much lately and part of the problem is I have 3 bodies, all 1D or 1Ds and they are just too much (heavy) for everyday use, time to sell a couple and try a smaller body.

it looks like a 5Dc or Mk2 is favourite from everything I read, although the 7D has its merits.

I like buying....

5D2 and 7D are different beasts with different strengths.

5D2 - Full frame / Excellent IQ / Excellent low light capability / OK AF system / Slow FPS
7D - 1.6x / Very good IQ / Very good low light capability / Excellent AF system / FAST FPS

One is geared more towards landscape and portraits and one is gear more towards general use & wildlife/sports.

You might have better luck creating your own thread, rather than post the same post in multiple threads....

There is also a search function that you might want to use - the 7D has been reviewed by many on this site alone. Do a search for "canon 7d" and you will get all the info you'll ever want.
