HOLDING ON!!!!!!!!!!

I'm having the most Goldfinches this year... last year I may have had maybe 15 or 20 at the most.. around the feeders and on the ground just now there were at least 50... as long as they want to stay I'll feed them..

Nice catch William......you're doing good if you've only got 50, about 150 of their cousins are eating me out of house and home over this way.

It's a very nice shot, William, but I'm afraid it's not a Goldfinch. Although I'm not certain, it looks to me like a Yellow-throated Vireo.

I agree with Harvey, it doesn't look like a goldfinch but it is a very nice image with a wonderful background!

We have a flock of about 50 goldfinches that just arrived here which is late for here. Last year we had them all winter. During the summer the bulk of them must migrate somewhere else because their numbers dwindle to about 20% of that.

We've also learned how aggressive these little golfinches are when fighting for food. We had several that ended up blind or missing one eye!
