@108vc I have the same trouble. I am using Canon Digital Photo Professional v3.6.0.0 and convert .CR2 RAW files to 16-Bit .TIF from my EOS 550D.

I shoot my photos at 1 of 7 sharpness then adjust to my liking in the editor, however, when I select 'Convert and save' the resulting TIFF file has lost all sharpness adjustment, regardless of zoom/view.

It's already a complete pain using Canon's software - the dozen or so installed applications hogging the 'installed programs' list and the sparse and complex user interfaces but you'd think you'd get some hardcore results for your effort.

But... no. Problem not solved!

Interesting -- I'm not seeing that. I just set an image to a sharpness of 8 and then did a Convert and Save to a 16 bit tiff, then opened the tiff in DPP and in the Edit window zoomed it to the 100% view and it looked the same as the sharpened image from the Raw.

If the tiff in Photoshop looks different then the CR2 in DPP when both are at 100%, something is wrong. Likely you have NR set.

Set it to 0/0

Tip: Also set it to 0/0 in prefs.

The sharpness should be identical then:

I just compared a CR2 & a 16bit TIF image at Fit to Window and 100% in DPP 3.10.1.0 and ZoomBrowser 6.7.2.33. Both photos are identical in sharpness in both Views.
I converted the original CR2 file to a JPG and the sharpness is the same in all Views.

Just tested it. (I never use DPP's sharpening.)

FWIW, version 3.13.0.1 is applying equal sharpening to jpg and tif output for me.
