I just got my 2nd 580 EXII and have been playing around with the 2 of them. I'm having a problem with the new one when I connect a pc cable to it. It will work fine for a while and seems like if I change the settings, it sometimes will start firing on its own, very rapid firing or a couple of seconds between flashes. It's almost like I have it set to Multi mode. I use a Quantum Radio Slave 4i for wireless. I've tried 3 receivers and 2 different pc cables and it only does it on the new flash. Otherwise, it seems to work fine.
Any thoughts before I call the retailer and/or Canon Monday morning?
