Have a look at this torso pack. It looks like it would work for your needs. http://www.bhphotovideo.com …ri_317_PL_Torso_Pack.html (external link)

The Kata is a wonderful bag. My friend got one to review and she uses it now exclusively. It fits a lot of gear. I have the older model. It's what I take to shoot in urban settings.

Would you consider one the flipside bags that are backpacks but open on the side that is toward your back, so you can open to the gear on your lap? That may work out better so you can hang the bag from the back of your chair.

I have the earlier version of that Kata bag and it's great.
Took me a little bit to adjust and stow the straps. Then it's good to go. Can also use it as a sling bag,but then it might get in the way for you.

Followed the link to your photos and really enjoyed them. Pebbles is handsome!

You have a gift, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work.

BTW I'm a has-been ski instructor. 35 years. I worked for Ontario Track III for 10 years as the top examiner. Just means I taught others how to teach how to ski. Some instructors there and many students use wheel chairs. They taught me a lot about life! And we had lots of fun together.

Track III founder helped me out after I had to learn how to walk, then how to ski after an accident of mine. I'm back and loving it!

edit: one feature is a rain cover in case you and your gear get caught in the rain. That's essential for me, cuz I get distracted taking pictures and sometimes get caught.

Best,

Dave
