Nothing groundbreaking at all here but thought I would have a go at a long exposure just flicking a small torch on and off to see how the subject would light.

Manual and shot on a piece of cardboard.

Not too bad, I like it... I cleaned up the speckles on the top of the bottle and brought some blacks into the image. You can spend more time to get it perfect! :)

I have a newbie question here. Why choose the long exposure instead of just a normal exposure for this shot? Under controlled lighting and a still subject, would there be a need for a long exposure? Sorry if that sounds like a stupid question. I'd just like to know the reasoning behind it.

Good question actually if you need to know something! I simply felt like messing around to see what would happen, to get the look I wanted of diffused spotlights above the subject I used a bit of cardboard and a little flashlight that cost £1.00, cheaper than a light set up lol.

Ahhh! I thought you were using a light set up because it came out nicely. I see the method to your madness now. Good job sir. :)

Interesting effect with the single light source, the despeckled edit looks pretty good.
