Nothing groundbreaking at all here but thought I would have a go at a long exposure just flicking a small torch on and off to see how the subject would light.
Manual and shot on a piece of cardboard.

Why choose the long exposure instead of just a normal exposure for this shot? Under controlled lighting and a still subject, would there be a need for a long exposure? Sorry if that sounds like a stupid question. I'd just like to know the reasoning behind it.

Good question actually if you need to know something! I simply felt like messing around to see what would happen, to get the look I wanted of diffused spotlights above the subject I used a bit of cardboard and a little flashlight that cost £1.00, cheaper than a light set up lol.
