unidentified bird - need help!

hi,

please could you help indentify this visiter i got in the garden at the weekend. i had to grab the camera quick and shoot it through a dirty window so its not the greatest pictures to go on (Sorry)

any help greatly appreciated!

This was my original thought but the markings on the head and the red colouring under the wings has drawn me away from it???? Wasnt in the pocket guide book and it's tough looking for a bird on the Internet that you haven't a clue on the name? Lol

Looks like a redwing to me, close relation to the song thrush.
