Trying some new PP using Silver Effects Pro ...

My request for feedback was perhaps misleading. I would like feedback (Positive and negative) from ANYONE. Would be nice to hear from other SIlver Effects users, but all feedback is vital and appreciated.

Sorry, wasn't trying to be disrespectful at all, and I appreciated his feedback. His photos and professional model have blown mine away and subsequent comments would probably focus on his photos, which would defeat the purpose of my posting anything to start with. I've deleted the comment since it may, and has been taken out of context.

No problem Ken, i was being sarcastic and it was taken out of context so I deleted the comment!... Apologize for the misunderstanding. I am just a beginner and working with a non-pro model. What would be helpful would be to tell me "how" it can be improved, vs just showing me how much I suck!

I don't normally use vignetting, but is a result of the particular silver effect filter used. I don't know if I can lose the vignetting without tossing the whole effect but if thats what needs to be done then so be it

Go ro the special effects area and set the vignette to 0

Thanks Ken.... Let me hop back into SE-P and see if I can re-crank this one out of the mill.

Well Ken... Went back into SE-Pro, and the vignetting was set to zero. Apparently this effect is created by some to other method, but is not created as a separately modifiable vignette. I could be wrong of course, and it could be because the photo was saved back into LR3 and the vignetting information was lost when the file was flattened.

Here is the original before it was sent to Silver Effects Pro, is this one better?

Certainly more to my taste though a little dark

Which brings me to my point of what these pre-canned effects provide?

Is it really worth the money? Seems like in the hands of a pro they would be a time saver for dding effects, but in this case it just messed things up. Should I trust my own eye and go with my own PP? Really confused here Ken !

Let me lighten this up, still have it in the LR3 buffer.

I rarely use these - only when I need a quick conversion or some tone inspiration. Most of the Seffects are really dark and thne brightness option does not help

Thanks Ken... So should I pass on purchasing SE Pro? Does it have any practical use to "improve" B&W, or is it just another gizmo to save time?

Here's the latest version. Upped the Exp by 1 stop, and reduced the sharpening a tad on some of the skin tones (thought ti was over sharpened.
