What say you, good, or bad? I liked the reflection so much I wanted to make it the focus, but I also wanted a B+W photo.

EDIT: added a blur instead of the selective color to focus on the glasses, let me know what you think and how I could improve further. I wanted to glasses to be the subject.

Slightly different blur:

I'm not going to lie, for about 1 second I was like hey this looks like it might be cool then I noticed the selective colour. Selective colour really sucks, in my opinion of course. But as someone said, it seems cheesy and just not good. Otherwise I like it.

A great shot.

Selective colour is a hate/love thing. In this picture the colours makes more sense than in many others.

If you could post another with the edit poeple sugested here it would be easier to say.

Great shot, I would love to see an all black&white version of this.

Selective colour can look cheesy, but that doesn't mean it always looks cheesy, its got a time and a place. In the first pic, i think it looks great.

i think 9 out of 10 photogs probably despise selective color and will always tell you not to do it. but i work in a studio that cranks this stuff out (yes i hate it) and regular people love it, i opine that this shot is better than 90% of the selective color stuff i see on this forum and about 100% better than the stuff that i see everyday at work lol

^ Agree about liking this one better than most that are around..nice and sharp the glasses are, so it makes the photo.

i'm not typically a fan of SC, but I think it totally works in this shot. I like this image.

I'm not a fan of selective coloring not even in the 80's but it's ok on this shot. I would like to see one all B&W.

The trouble with the sc is that it's still brought out the flash back lurid colours of the audience. I would prefer a simple b/w all round.
