A suggestion I got from a photography shop that does cleaning with regards to stuck dust was to use those "Q tips" (-> this stuff http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wattest%C3%A4bchen (external link) ) or how you call them that you can get.

(Plastic stick with some cotton at the end) - make sure it's pure cotton any nothing "strange" on it, put some cleaning fluid (in my case Isopropanol) onto it, place on the dust and gently turn.

-> I did that very successfully on the old 400D which has a lot of stuck dust that didn't want to come off with a regular wet clean.

After applying this "spot cleaning" do a regular clean to get rid of any excess cleaning fluid.
That might help here if you have something that's stuck.

thank you a lot!
was it dust ?
to me it's a small piece of microfibre saturated with visible dust smear away

mantra,

I'm not quite understanding your predicament. If it is a piece of cloth fibre from the swab, it should not be stuck onto the sensor's surface unless you have a great deal of lubricant on it as well. You should be able to move it as Skip has suggested with a cotton swab, micro-fibre cloth or brush. If you can clearly see it, then you should be able to gently nudge it and even pick it right up.

The only other possibility is that it may be stuck under or to the framework/rim that surrounds the filter and if that is the case, then you will need to pry it out with tweezers of some kind. But this will require 100% precision to avoid marring the sensor. I would suggest using a brush to pry one end upwards and off of the sensor, then grab it with tweezers. If you are not comfortable or confident doing this, then by all means send it in to Canon to handle. But looking at your test shot again, the line on the right side of the sensor does not go far enough to be caught by the rim, so try the other suggestions first to nudge it loose.

thanks you for you help
yes , i 'm sure it's a piece of microfibre satured by smear away (visible dust)
and now it did stuck, sticked on the low pass

the weird thing is that after the cleaning , camera closed and mounted the lens i touched a used swab and i grab with my finger a piece of microfibre, don't know (i guess it's the smear away) but the white piece of microfibre become just like glue between my fingers

-> that would sound as if the cleaning solution and swabs react....

If I touch my swabs after usage they are just a piece of cloth saturated in isopropanol - no sticking of any kind....

Correct. I have no experience with the smear-away but Eclipse will not react like that at all. It will totally evaporate from the PecPad.

mantra,

Why don't you try another wet swab but this time just go back and forth very gently on the fibre. Don't use any more smear stuff though, use isopropyl if you don't have any Eclipse.

i find hard to buy eclipse here , i mean i can find visible dust or green clean

maybe it's the smear aways high powerful or the swab (not the best quality)

by the way the small white piece of swab is really stuck, fixed in place , almost melt!

Go to a pharmacy and get 100% Isopropanol.
-> At least in Germany that's no problem :)

No, it probably won't get worse. Use your camera as much as you want, maybe don't stop it down beyond f/8.

The same shop that explained to me how to do a wet clean suggested Isopropanol - they use it too.
Heck, you pay about 4€ for 50ml of Isopropanol and 20€ for a couple of ml of Eclipse.

-> so for future cleans that might be a good solution as it's cheaper and does the job just as well.
Get as high a concentration as possible to reduce the chance of streaks.

Microfibre melting? Nope.
Although what becomes important in the end is the type of material used.

Some plastics absorb alcohol - and yes, they are affected by it. Microfibres - maybe, I don't know. My Visible Dust sensor swabs are fabric - don't ask me what kind of fabric though.

Else... I know my Wenger Swiss Army knife gets softened by Isopropanol - at least until it evaporates completely. Other plastics I used it on were completely fine.
If could be that the "swab" you used wasn't mean to be used with alcohol... or couldn't be used with certain alcohols.

Dont shy away from narrow apertures ....the camera is 100% usable beyond f8 because all thats needed at narrow apertures is some very very simple cloning in any PP package if the artifact appears!! Infact...I hazard a guess that it will be lost on 90% of all the OP's shots when he views them so very little cloning will be needed anyway
