When I first purchased all my lighting gear (early/mid last year) I didn't get any of these deflectors, picked up another 39x39" softbox and to my surprise one was packaged with it.

when did this start? Or did I get jipped the first time around?

*edit*
B&H states "I think that might of been a mistake by Elinchrom and that they do not come with it normally"

Interesting, 'cause I just got the 27 X 27 Roto, but no deflector. I got a deflector with the 14 X 35 strip, 39 DO and 53 midi.

BTW, are the silver and gold no longer available?

I don't know when Elinchrom began including the white translucent deflector but when I bought my 53" Midi and 39" DO it wsn't included. When I got my 69" Octa is was included.

I believe that now all the Rotalux modifiers except the 27" x 27" come with the deflector.

I haven't looked for or bought silver or gold deflectors recently but I believe they're still available and are included when you buy one of the Elinchrom beauty dishes.

A full set of four is included with the Softlites. I don't think the pair of gold and silver is still available, it was replaced with the full set.

That does seem to be the case, when I started looking for the deflector set I seen the silver/gold out of stock - but now not even listed at the same places. The full deflector set is, however still hard to obtain.

I guess it depends on where you are. The german distributor says they're in stock: http://www.profotshop.de …temid=1&vmcchk=1&Itemid=1 (external link)

I got mine quite a while ago, I think it was even back in '09.

That's what I've found, kinda weird, but I guess I'll just use foil over the translucent.
