hey guys, haven't had much time to shoot anymore, been taking up other projects.. but I took this one not long ago:

mostly helping a friend of mine get his foot in the pro art world, a painter. He was inspired off of my work to create his unique aurora-chalk paintings.

Meanwhile here's one of mine to tide you over

Beautiful shot! I love the way that the curve of the river seems to mirror the Aurora.

GOR-JUS!!!

Was that taken with the Zeiss 21mm?

Love the colours!!

Is there any reason why some Aurora photos turn out more bluish-green and some more yellow-green?

White balance has a bit to do with the color, but sometimes before the aurora fully forms they do start to turn a purplish blue color, at least up here I notice that. I've seen orange and red recently too. I never thought I would. It looks really trippy. I don't know the scientific reasons for it (I've asked a few people but the answers are intermingling with accuracy so I'm not too sure).

I'm planning on doing travel packages for the upcoming year, or looking into the feasibility of it. You may be able to see for yourself!

And while I did originally think of selling the zeiss for the 16-35...now I can't live without the zeiss. I plan to buy a hasselblad soon. I can't wait.

Thanks Karl.

Good luck with your travel packages if you go forward with it. Would love to join you on a trip one day.

Yeah that Zeiss 21mm seems like one sweet piece of glass.
