Carlos,

IMHO one eye of a woman would not qualify as a portrait. The standard definition of a portrait is: "A likeness of a person, especially one showing the face, that is created by a painter or photographer ..."
In the second image her eyes are positioned too far into the eye sockets. This makes the eyes lifeless plus the viewer has no connection with the subject with he looking away.

Sorry to be so negative.

Benji

I think a something like a pair of hands or possible an eye can be a portrait. Not sure its working here as such. I think this image by Stieglitz is a very powerful portrait.

And a pretty powerful portrait of Picasso by Irving Penn using his eye.

You just have to really decide what you are trying to say about the person and like in the Picasso his eyes and the way he sees it a very important part of who he is. The painters hands are Georgia O'Keeffe's and a strong statement about who she is so a portrait can be just an eye or hands but it needs to be something that gives a clue into who the person being photographed is.

I do agree with Benji's and Mike's comments about your images.

So, is this a better choice technically for photo No 2?, her eyes are not all the way to one side now.

It would be better if the eye closest to the camera was sharp.

Not a fan of the giant eye and if you do like it please make sure it's in focus. I really like the second one but would of loved it if she was looking at the camera. Good job on that one.
