I like what you tried to do, but it doesn't look quite "right" to me. Why don't you try shooting at a slow shutter speed?

Yes, it is. The problem I have with it is that the engine is all sharp & then the rest is blurred, so it looks like PS work. I just posted a new thread where I finally got the amount of blur that I was trying for: MOPAR Pickups & a Freightliner.

The exposure is good. If you reshoot it, I'd wait until later when it might have it's lights on & the overall light might be more interesting.

Your sky got blown out, so maybe you should consider shooting a bit darker and then using HDR or a similar technique to brighten the train back up again.

Also, the line between "in focus" and "out of focus" happens to fall ungracefully right between the locomotive and the 1st car, and quite sharply, which suggests either photoshop work as PhotosGuy said.

There's also something on the far platform, I think, that looks like a big metal can, which is right against the edge of the train. (It might be a person with a jacket, I can't tell.) Its blur looks very odd.

Lastly, the platform you're standing on is quite a bit of dead space. You might want to crop it a bit tighter to kill off some of that. You also caught the bottom of a sign or something in the upper-right, which could be cropped out. The train makes a great leading line that goes to the upper-right corner, so you might want to use that in your crop. In general you could crop from all 4 sides, but mainly the bottom and the right.
