Hello

I'm not a pro photographer so I don't have much experience into business photography and I'm kinda out of ideas here.

I'm going to shoot for a trend who makes stuff like this:

http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/7876/45890783.jpg (external link)

So it's probably going to be shot by night. They asked for 5 final pictures for 5 different products

Unfortunatly I can't use real models cause it's last minute and I would need a guy a girl and a child so...

I thought about something with light painting but that's all I can think off.

I would appreciate any idea.

sorry for the bad english

Edit/ oh and I forgot, I own what is in my signature + I can use a D700 + 24mm, 50mm and 85mm (and a mirror 600mm f8 so lol) + 1 flash and 1 tripod.

1) The clothing will look much better on models-get models or delay the shoot. You don't say were you live but there are good sources of models/friends/people around the world.
2) I would not bother with light painting-too complicated. Carefully balance your flash power with the natural night light and glow of the clothing from a powerful flash light to get solid pictures. Practice your technique with friends before the real shoot.
3) Taking the pictures outside at night will give you more realistic backgrounds/scenery.

I agree, but some of the best "night shots" I've seen were taken before it's totally dark while there's still some light left in the sky. You don't need much, but you need some.
Look at the difference between the first & 2nd shots here: Ships at Dusk

So try it both ways & give the client a choice.

Don't think yourself into a hole. Find a quiet subdivision where you can park a car on the road pointing toward them with it's lights on. Have them crossing the street with their heads looking toward the car so you can't see their faces.
Change the layout slightly & put someone on a bicycle.
