Do you want to concentrate on the girl, or the car? Doing both is quite difficult, and if so, you'll want to move back and shoot at around 135 or so for the purpose that the car won't blend into the background behind the model like it would if you went wider. Personally I like to light the car and the model separately, then merge them in Photoshop later. Just shoot the car as you normally would, then use a nice, soft light to sort out the girleh. Merge in PS and you should have yourself a nice, easily taken, image.

Well I was wanting to do both. But I am a newbie so which is why I posted this thread, to get advice from the pros. So I'll listen and soak it all in.

pick up a issue of dsport or import tuner... the one time I did a girl + car shoot, we took a lot of poses and ideas from that.

think about your model.. will she be half nude?

will the car be hot in the sun or cold?

remember her skin will be touching this metal.. so depending on the environment you might want to think about how to make her comfortable

You can visit the website above to have a rough idea how to pose the model since she is inexperienced.

Also, is it an indoor or outdoor shoot? It might be difficult to shoot the model with the car in the afternoon when the sunlight gets stronger.
