Hi gang, I am having trouble with maintaining the Focus with 7D in timelapse/interval shooting. What settings do you normally use?
I turned the focus on the lens to MF (Manual) but not sure which camera setting to use? I am shooting in P.

Thanks!

Depends on what you're trying to capture. If you want the camera to meter/expose for you, then you probably should set it at least to Av so that you can keep the aperture constant. The camera will then adjust the shutter speed (and iso as well if you set it to auto, though I wouldn't recommend auto iso).

You can manual focus first.. or AF at the spot you'd like to be in focus, then switch the lens to MF so it doesn't change, and voila.

I usually use AV-mode, then use manual focusing with the help of Canon's software.

Thank you, I hadn't thought about the AV, focus THEN go to MF!
