Quick review - shot the above with 7D. Lighting conditions in this gym call for f/2, 1/640 at ISO 2500. The shots look pretty clean to me. Color and contrast look good. Probably could use a tad NR, but they're good enough for the kids I shoot for.
Only nit with with the Sigma 85 compared to the Canon 85mm f/1.8 is the focus is noticeably slower than the Canon. I'll have to process some more from tonight's game and get a look at the backgrounds for more comparison to the Canon.
Overall ... it worked and I took home a lot of good shots. Lastly, after this basketball season, the lens will be focusing on people and not basketball anymore. I bought the lens for portrait work but gave it a try at a game to see how it would perform. It certainly passed the test.
