Bill, I guess you have a point there re someone coming out shooting. I guess that's why I stay in the car with the engine running when I take the photos...just in case I need to make a quick get-away.

I don't know what it is with me. I have this obsession to seek out old run-down barns and farm houses. Maybe I'm just trying to record their existence before they totally vanish from the face of the earth... or a least I'm sure that's what a shrink would tell me if I ever went to one and asked him about it.

I swear, I've seen that barn somewhere. Is it by chance in the Butte area? BTW, I'm from Wasilla and work in Palmer.

How do you make all those funny smiley faces too?

That is my mothers barn, she has completely restored it and is using it - as a barn.
Some of these were taken with my first digital camera, an HP 2.x megapixel. The slightly better ones were taken with a Canon S40 set on Auto everything.

Sorry it took so long to respond to you. I was having problems logging in to the forum earliear today.

Anyway, the answers to both of your questions are but a mouse click away. Just click on the HELP at the top of the page and you'll not only see how you can imbed photo into your post but you can also add some colorful and sometimes emotional smiley faces.

You can also click on "Reply with Quote" to see exactly how some other person did something on their post. And if you are going to actually reply to someone using the "Reply with Quote", just make sure that you remove any embedded links to photos. Otherwise, you'll end up repeating the picture within your post.

Regarding the clarity of the photo, that is easily achieved via sharpening (or should I say "unsharpening" ) using a photo editor such as Photoshop, Photo Elements and PhotoImpact. No matter how sharp you may think the image is coming out of a camera, these editing programs can make the image even sharper!

All righty, then! I know whom to call if I have any question re XP. I'm partial to W2K pro myself but I'm sure I'll eventually get used to the look and feel of XP Pro. My first impression of XP Pro is that it doesn't look "Pro"fessional at all, what with all them big colorful icons they use all over the place.
