I keep getting a wierd error message when trying to do pano's in PSE8. Do you have to convert your images to JPEG from RAW before you load them?

In Bridge you can select the files that you want to use and then go to Tools-Photoshop-Photomerge. This will do the conversion for you and open the files. If you are doing it from inside of Elements or Photoshop you would need a file that is editable which requires conversion. What exactly is the error message that you allude to. My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.

That's normal and necessary. Photoshop can't process a Raw file until it's converted to an image file. So, in Camera Raw you can ensure that all your settings are good and then go ahead into Photoshop and do the Pano. Or you would convert them individually and save them and then run the auto pano operation. Tony

tonylong ...winded More info | Jan 21, 2011 16:50 | #8 Well, not having Elements I can't check. Are you doing this uusing jpegs or tiffs? If you are using tiffs you would want to ensure that they are 8 bits probably because some Elements stuff won't work with 16 bits. If, though, you're trying this with jpegs, then I wouldn't have a clue. Tony
