I enjoy searching through all the endless threads here and Nasioc finding a good photo or two, but I want a break from that. Show me some badass photographers, ones that have a portfolio that makes you drool.

I'll start off with Ripley and Ripley

Love the shot of the M3 above!

Not going to link any photos directly here, but take a look at this UK photographers profile on FlickR. He gets to shoot some great cars and is an inspiration (imo). Fantastic photos:

I recently ran across the book, "Boulevard Photographic: The Art of Automobile Advertising" (external link) which covers the studio where I worked '69-71. It's out of print, but you can find copies for about $20-25. If you're really into shooting cars, it's worth the money, & I'm currently working on permission to post a few shots from it here.
What makes it interesting is that almost all the images were shot with 8X10" cameras & all the effects were done in-camera. When you're looking at an upside down dim image at f/22 with a black cloth over your head, it's amazing what Mickey & Jimmy could do.

Motor Trend review which has links to some of the images from the book. (external link)

Here's a nice one of an Olds 442. (external link) Remember, these were shot in the camera. No Photoshop in those days.
