Best Price for T2i?

so my brother just told me today he's upgrading to a T2i from his XT...He said he was going to dell because of a sale $799 for the kit...i let him know he had to pay tax on it, and that it's listed as $789 at B&H...so i think i've bought a little time to try and find the best deal out there for him?

anyone? i saw neweggs 10% off, but it looks to be out of stock there, and i think being in Cali he'd have to pay taxes

According to canonpricewatch.com, best reputable deal is $769 at Buydig, or $765 at Abe's (if you can tolerate their one up-sell call). Newegg is out of stock at their $730 special price.

Canon's website sells refurbished models at a decent price and has sales regularly. I got my T2i with kit lens shipped to my door for just under $680 in early December.

BuyDig and Abe's are good prices. I've had luck with both. The one up-sell call from Abe's is annoying, but they've always been polite and willingly accepted "no".

Probably not the best price, but taking into consideration that you don't have to pay tax, Amazon has it for $789. Beats Dell.

i forgot to look at abes...you'd think i'd remember to with all the emails they send me ...i'll see what kind of coupon codes i can apply to them

Body only is $595 - $11.90 in ebay bucks from normancamera; no taxes for CA i think since they are located in Michigan.

thanks for the ebay link...i found out he's getting it thru his work...not sure if they'd go for ebay, and i also think he really needs the new IS kit lens...so it's looking like $750 from abes after the LOYALTY15 code...

The one on ebay is from "Norman Camera" who are an authorized Canon store.
