I almost ordered from them today until I read this. I'm now ordering with BH.

Repackaged gear usually get sold by Amazon Warehouse Deals (some sister company or separate division of Amazon) and at a discount.

In their product description you can for example read if it is just repackaged, or if some item is missing (a cap, a cord, etc...), or if there is some damage (a scratch, a faulty button, etc...). Admittedly, that description is sometimes extremely vague. Still, got a few great bargains from them this way.

Whatever I got directly from Amazon was always in mint condition and factory sealed. But in both cases , the return policy is the same, so the risk is nil.

I ordered my 7D from Amazon, returned one and got another. No problems.

I bought my 7d from Amazon. After about a week I noticed that the battery would discharge overnight even with the camera off. I called Canon and they said to send it in to them and they would fix it and return it in about a week. I logged onto Amazon, clicked a few times and a new one was on the way for free overnight and I had 30 days to return the one I had. I would buy from them again in a heartbeat!
