Just ordered the Tamron 17-50 f/2.8!

This is the non-VC version...
Now just waiting with anticipation at the f/2.8 ...............

Its going to be an exciting step up from the 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6, I'm sure...

I just got the VC model as the price has come down in the UK and is only £10 ($16) more than the non, I know it's not as sharp but the VC will come in handy in low light.

I have had mine almost two years and love it! I sold a sharp copy of the Sigma 17-70mm but got tired of the variable aperture. I have neveer been sorry!

I just sold a perfect copy of the Tamy 28-75 to get this lens. Where did you get yours? If I don't see any good deals during the weekend here, I will order my copy of the 17-50 on Monday..... yes, don't forget the $25 mail in rebate.

had one, traded for a 24-105, can't be happier. But thinking about picking up another one for the 2.8.

Yeah I just got mine in the last few days. Took some shots with it and was blown away.

I've had mine for about two and a half years now and really am enjoying it. I do get focus-hunting issues in lower light situations, and the focus motor is a little loud, but the pictures that come out of it are great!

u'll love this lens, cause i know i loved mine so much, wished it can be used on a FF

definitely one of the sharpest 2.8 zooms

yup..getting it from amazon since i had a couple of gift certificates apart from the $25 rebate..and the 6 yr warranty makes it totally worth it!
