5D Mark II or 50mm 1.4

I am saving up for 5d Mark II and at this very point, is tempted to buy 50mm 1.4

buy the lens or continue saving?

i currently own:
5D classic
50mm 1.8
17-40L
70-200L f/4

Will you be shooting video... 5D Classic, is, well, a classic...

How far away from the 5DII are you? If you're close, wait.
Is the 50 1.8 just not doing it for you? If not buy the 1.4
Will you upgrade to the 50 1.4 when you get the markII anyhow? if yes, then go ahead and buy it.

Personally, I'd save up to the goal that I originally set, especially since you already have a 50mm. Just my 2 cents.

since you already have the 50/1.8, just wait a little bit more and save up for the mkii. save up again then sell the 1.8 and buy the 1.4

with the 5dII you will be able to bump the iso a little higher making that extra apeture un needed, better build yes but i think you should get the body then if the nifty is still not cutting it then upgrade
