I was mulling over a purchase, and even though it's Saturday I decided to swing by Adorama and price a few things out. You can put stuff in your wishlist even on the Sabbath I have found.

So I was surprised to find that Adorama would not only take my wishlist - I was able to proceed right on through to checkout. Is this something new? I can distinctly recall B&H and Adorama being closed sundown to sundown on the Sabbath.

I've always been able to checkout on Adorama's site on the Sabbath and holidays, you just have to remember that nobody is going to see it for a few days.

The difference between the Adorama website & the B&H website, is that we can let you go all the way to checkout on the Sabbath because we don't actually charge your card until the item ships.

I can live with that. In fact, I am living with that. I dropped over $1200 into Adorama's lap yesterday, for stuff which will ship Monday.

I decided on Adorama over B&H because Adorama has you, Helen. If B&H has an equivalent, he/she is invisible.

B&H has Henry Posner (henryp) and since he is invisible it is proof he uses a Leica M.

I too would like to buy from Adorama due to Helen's good service, unfortunately they held two of my orders because of a "not in stock" situation on a single item (that was not noted on the web site) and the fact I am in Canada. Was a bit more hassel than I need.
