I looked and debated for some time and decided that given I wasn't an indoor studio photographer that I was going go buy the good crop glass and stick with crops given how the 7D has really risen the whole level of what crops can do. 7D, EF-S 10-22, EF-S 17-55, EF 70-200L IS II, EF 100 macro, 1.4 TC III, 430 EX II

Why even speculate on something that hasn't even been announced yet? Everyone's been speculating on an IS version of the 24-70L, too (not to mention a Mark II version of the 100-400L). If you keep waiting for the "next best thing", you'll never buy anything. Get what suits your present needs, then worry about the next best thing when it gets announced... I would rather 3D to go back to 8MP and with awesome ISO performance but still FF plus costs only about $600 and ideally comes with a free 16MB CF. hehe, your wish will come soon enough. In a year or so you can get a 5dc (much more MP than your wish of 8MP) for around $600. A 16 MB CF card will be only about 20-30 bucks then, someone can easily throw in the deal for you. hhuy
