In PS CS3, I am wanting to watch color adjustments real time.

Specifically, this: When I use the a point selection (eyedropper) tool, and look under the INFO tab, I see the 0-255 values for each of the RGB components of the color I have selected.

Is there any way to keep that area displayed - with real time numerical updates - as I make global adjustments to the hue, saturation, white balance etc, etc of the entire image?

Rad: When you shift-click with the eye dropper, it sets sample points that you can read on
the Info panel. You can set up to four sample points on an image. When you make changes
with adjustment layers (curves, color balance, selective color, etc.), you can see the
changes, real-time, on the sample points.

VERY awesome.

Restoring a photo that has had a paper mat around the subject since 1967. Sever color shift in the area that was not matted. Now I can sample an area of the b.g. on the previously shielded area and use that as a target to color correct the rest of it.

Thanks!

Outside Photoshop, Colour Watcher may do the job:

Rad, of course you can also switch from RGB to CMYK, which some find more useful.
