Hey all,

I'm so lost on this one, so any help would be GREAT!! bw!

I want a bag I can take with me to Hawaii, Yellowstone, etc and be able to hike with. Not too super strenuous hiking, but all the same. Do I want a backpack? Or does this fit the use of a Crumpler? I don't really know.

Things needed to carry:
Gripped 7D
Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8
Super Takumar 50mm f/1.4
Canon 70-200mm f/4L
LCD Loupe
Apple iPad (or Macbook Air 11")
Additional rental lens from time to time (small one)

What can I dooooo? I really want something that's not HUGE but I want to fit most of my stuff.

Thanks!
Aaron

Idk if it is to big, but I recently purchased a lowepro flipside 400 and it would definetly fit all that gear, and the best part is that it isnt all that expensive! Good luck

Lowe Pro Classified Sling 180. Perfect for switching lenses with just two hands and no need to put anything on the ground.

If you're looking for something compact, I think a Think Tank Urban Disguise 35 v2 will fit all of that. It's what I use for a day bag when I want a light kit + my iPad. Not sure if it'll fit the hiking bill since it's a shoulder bag and not a backpack, though Think Tank does sell a strap that turns this into a backpack instead.

Otherwise, for light hikes I used to use the LowePro FastPack 350 when I still had it. Good luck with your search!

Alan

Hiking = backpack = not easily accessible compared to shoulder bags = more expensive than shoulder bags if it's the same built quality.

I would recommend something from Think Tank, but their backpacks aren't very compact if you want to put a 11 incher computer inside.

I recommend the Kata 467. It will be tough to put the tele in it, but I love my 465. I never take computers with me on hikes. I just want to enjoy the nature. I usually travel with my UD 50 and then pack the Kata in my luggage. I don't put any gear in check in luggage, so I have to have a bigger bag to fly with as carry on. Sometimes I take the TT International and the Kata collapsed inside the check in.
