I was planning on shooting big surf last Wednesday, however mother nature brewed up some thick fog out of nowhere forcing me to cancel my photo plans. Last night the NWS issued a High Surf Advisory which is always a good sign for surf the following day. This morning (sat.) all surf cams were down so I kinda had to wing it in terms of decided where to go. According to LOLA the swell was highest in southern San Diego. I packed my gear up, and headed south.
This surf wasnt as big as maps were suggesting and there was a lack of surfers in the water……. The surf party must have been during the morning. Anyways with any less then optimal situation, I made the best of what I was given. At the end if the day I ended up with some good shots. On a side note I absolutely love the 7D paired with my 70-200 f4L.
