Yeah off camera lighting, driving, fetching meals occasionally, noticing details I miss, adding different angles of photos, etc, etc.

They add different angles of photos without shooting? They point them out to you?

My assistant also shoots, only for about 10-20% of the day. If I had to choose a shooter or an assistant i'd choose the assistant. My assistants are also photographers, one has a masters degree in photography, which honestly is completely pointless for weddings.

I wasn't familiar with the Lowepro S&F, but I looked it up and it reminds me a lot of the think tank modular system. Quite honestly, that setup, while great for running and gunning isn't great for weddings. Especially at a reception when you are running between tables or on a dance floor, you don't want the equivalent of a 70" waist.

Picture moving a christmas tree around the dance floor. That would be you with all of those lenses strapped to you.

i had a good lol at the bold^ picturing someone moving a christmas tree across the dance floor, kinda lifting/rolling the base with others dancing out of the way of them! i was considering that spider holster but now that u mention it having 2 bodies and lenses dangling off your hips walking through tables and generally crowds seems like a bit of a burden

also loled at this, which is most likely very true! (the masters not really helping for weddings)

Bryan,
Do you wear them the same way in those 100 degree days of Summer (especially Wedding)?

You know, I wore it all last year, and shot all summer. Luckily I wasnt shooting in any extreme temperatures, and seemed to handle it fine. I shot a few on the beach during the summer and it worked out.

Im using 2 cameras (one with 17-55, one with 85/100 mm) on BlackRapid double strap.
Then using ThinkTank SKIN belt and pouches, 1 long pouches for my 70-200, 1 shorter/wider pouches for my UWA (either 10-22 or 16-35mm), and 1 Chimp Cage for extra battery, CPE3 pack, etc.
The good thing about TT SKIN is they are flat when empty.
And thats it, I cant bring too much stuff like I was before anymore, getting old now :)
Hope that helps.

I use the blackrapid double strap with the lowepro waist belt to hold additional lenses and accessories.

Have you try them with long/heavy lens + speedlite on top the bodies? If you did, how did it work out?

This is what I like about the Cotton Carrier. Like I said, I've not worn mine to a wedding and I've never tried it with a speedlight, but for nature hikes (3-4 miles of hard walking), I'll carry one body with the 100-400 on my chest and a second body with the 100 macro on the holster and it never drags on me.

I usually go with 5D2 + 24-70 + 430EXII on right side
and 7D + 580EX + whatever else - this is the side I change lenses most on

with a flash on both bodies, I can shoot from my knees, but have to be upright otherwise the flash on the unused side will hit the ground.

I also have a single strap, and I've used it with a 10-400 several times.

I've also used the double strap to carry a camera on the right side, and a lens pouch on the left side, when I really don't want a bag...

Up until a minute ago B&H had the 122CPF with Pro-Pac ($169 version on the CC site) used for $140 (Open-Box full warranty).

Sadly it appears to be gone now.
