My first thought when evaluating the first photo was that it could have used some fill flash, especially with the dark face. Is there any flash in these photos? It's worth a try so you can fill in the shadows.

I took almost 100 pics some have fill flash some without , some have other poses, these are just ones that I liked

It can be hard to get a good dog picture (some dogs rarely ever hold still), but you managed to nail it! #4 has a stately, relaxed look. What happened to Jazz' right ear?

Nice photos, I like the last one best. It stands out from the background and seems like a natural pose.

Love the third and fourth shots.

You did good. These are great compared to the last ones you posted. I really like the 4th shot. Only thing is I wish his tail would have been in it. But it's a keeper.

I think the last one worked best, The full on shots of the dogs head lose out because of the very dark muzzle. The last one, with the dogs features in profile has that something extra though a slighly less severe crop on the dogs rear may have improved the shot.

In the second picture, the woman (presumably the owner) appears to be making the dog lean to it's right which had me tilting my head slightly and the third is spoiled by the rat next to it. (I hate small dogs) :)

In all of them though, the colour looks very natural and true to life.

The main thing is that the customer likes the photo's. Their opinion is really the one that counts.
