Hi folks

Does anybody know of a company doing infra-red conversions in the United Kingdom? I have just purchased a minty gripped D60 on eBay for a stupidly low price, and it is ripe for conversion.

Failing that, does anyone have any experience in dealing with Lifepixel in the USA? I am concerned about the overall cost with them - shipping, customs, etc.

Thank you!

There is an outfit in the UK does it. They advertise in the back of some magazines but I can't remember the name off hand. I had a quote from them a couple of months back and it was about £200 or £250 all inclusive I think. I will look for the email when I get to the office later and post the details

It could be reversed later for the same price.

pop over to irphotocom (external link) - there's bound to be a couple of folks with suggestions.

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

Yup, ACS did my 20D. A good job, but it did take about 8 weeks!

ACS is who I was thinking of as well. No experience of them, only a quote. Sorry

I've used them and they are ok.I've also used Lifepixel who were very good but worked out expensive. You have yo pay UK vat on the work carried out.A bit sick and unexpected when I had to pay that.

Cheers
Gary
