The focus is more on the thistle flower in 3. In photo 1 the focus is on one of the buds instead of the flower. I think the background is nicely blurred also. Keep in mind, I don't have a lot of experience. Just giving input on some of the things I have learned from this forum. Canon 60D since Dec. 2011, Canon 28-135mm lens, Canon 70-300mm USM lens and Nifty Fifty 50mm 1.8 lens. Just got in a new lens: Tamron 18-270mm ; )
