So, finally, this weekend, I got to do a lot of shooting. Even though I was not the official photographer at my friend's wedding, I took over 500 pictures that night (at both the ceremony and the reception). Out of 500, I have about 490 keepers! :D

With the help of my 430EX, the lens had no focus problems due to low light and all pictures came out great. With a little bit of brightness, contrast, and saturation adjustments, the pictures look awesome.

I wish I could post some of them here, but, believe me when I say that I'm in love with this lens (I have the non-vc version). :)

This is a great lens, I had it back when i had my rebel. For half the price of the 17-55 it is a very underrated lens.

490 keepers out of 500 - not bad
Sharp, no problem focusing in low light, "awesome", etc.
But are the pics near equivalent "L" ?

Honestly, I do not know, but, I've read a lot of comments where people claim that the non-vc is slightly better than the vc version.

How do you define an "L" picture?

Mine is a love/hate relationship because I like to shoot low natural light and I feel the focus has to be muscled some. In the daylight it is razor sharp though. Maybe a 430EX should be my next purchase. If you can post any pics please do!
