I am obviously looking in the wrong places but the music I have found is poor. The sites that seem to have half decent music want $60 a song!

ie Triple Scoop and others

I don't mind paying around $20 for a licensed song but I have been unable to find good stuff, anyone know the best music sites for this range of pricing?

Cheers

When I was at university studying Media Production a lot of us cast on Mandy.com.

I used to get 10-20+ people writing back to me who were interested.

Oh and not to mention, I always casted for low/no paid (at the bottom of my cast, I put due to no budget this role will not be paid but all credit will be given where possible).

There are a lot of people are Mandy.com who would love to have their music on websites/productions etc just to boost their list of clients.

This way using Mandy you could also have the chance of getting somebody to compose an original score for you. I did a couple of times.

Hope this helps.

Honestly you can find some great music on MySpace with tons of Creative Commons Licensing. I work with some TV production folks and they are constantly using MySpace for sourcing soundtracks.

Checked out my space but where are the creative commons stuff or free music, the web pages are just full of junk.

$60 doesn't sound that bad. What would you charge a website to use one of your images?

Personally I would dive onto mandy.com and stick an advert up and watch the cv's role into your inbox.
