Taken in Michigan this past winter with a 400L lens. This was taken about 5pm as the sun was starting to go down. I cannot ever remember being that cold.

Great Shot.
I have been trying to get pictures of Owls for years and find them very elusive.
They say that patience is a large part of photography, so I'll keep on watching.

Awesome shot, you are very lucky! I've waited out in the cold many times with wind whipping across the salt marshes waiting for owls, with no shots yet. I actually look forward to winter for just such events (minus the freezing part!) You must have been thrilled with this shot, I would be!
