This image was taken of a girl who lives on a man made island on Lago Titicaca, near the Peruvian/Bolivian border. The lake sits at an altitude of 3,800m (12,500ft) where the sun is very strong in the cloudless sky. This girls young skin shows how damaging that sun can be.

The intense direct overhead sun also made for difficult shooting on the island due to blown highlights.

I've recently been re-editing some of my photos from my travels in South America, I was looking for thoughts or opinions on this edit.

Thanks guys! It's one of those photos that I have never really been happy with. If only I had a nice large shade available... ;)
