You were chimping and fell in a fountain at the mall?

Umm, shutter went out?

Its rated for 150k. I'd hate to see it go at 7% of its life expectancy.

You realized you were shooting without a card?

Nooooo! That happened at a family party once. Then I learned about the card lock, but that's not it.

Hard drive blew up?

I actually had a HD blow out and recently bought an iMac. Now I need a bigger external HD to keep up. But that's not it.

you flake on your payments and now in collection...

No. But I did look at my bill for my recent purchases and cried...once. Smiles the rest of the time. Say no to gear envy.

Not intended as an "Ouch"

Most shooters discover this fact over time. Usually it comes when they bring back a load of solid images from an outing with the P&S they bought because they're tired of dragging the dSLR around. ;)

true.. I knew it after a couple of months shooting. so I bought the D700 to eliminate the camera body as the culprit, now I am working on the lenses so I could just blame myself for all my mistakes.

yeah...I am that bad

Well, I knew I had bad gear when I got an early copy of the 1Ds4 and got a 1200mm f/5.6 and still got ot of focus pictures with tons of noise and stuff so I sold them on Craigs List and went for a good quality P&S.

Don't worry, I'm not offended. I would love to have a P&S, but the only one I have found that I like is the S95. I was set to snag one during Christmas but turned it down in favor of what's already in my pocket. The iPhone.

If Chase Jarvis can do it, I can too
