So I am really hating myself right now and need a little advice. So my beloved lens did not "Click" into the body and fell to the ground at Sunday's AFC Championship game. I picked it up and it shot fine... until I went to stop it down at a basketball game tonight. I tried to go from 2.8 to 3.5 and got Error 01 - lens communication not happening. So it looks like the apeture is busted.
My question is: has anyone had this happen and how much did Canon charge to fix it minus shipping. I am a CPS Gold member and am supposed to get 30% off repairs.
