Waow! Amazin pics, here are two from Co. Louth, Ireland! First image post here so hope they're the right size etc!

Paco, I've tried to see what happened to your pics but there's no lens info on your exif data. If they looked sharp on your screen before reduction for the web, then something has happened in the process.
What lens and what did you do to get them to web size?

Hi Ricardo, I used a 24-70L they looked great but i had to rezise them to post using the "insert image" icon i see here... Perhaps this is not how everyone else uploads images? it also seems i had to resize them to around 600pixels in width to get them small enough to work, is that normal here???

Most seem to use flkr or smugmug accounts to post from...I just use the insert image icon as you do and although the images aren't quite as sharp they're not too bad.
Take a look at the posting rules and you'll see that the size limit is 1024 pixels on the longest side, with a mazimum file size of 150kb. Give that a try and see how it goes.

FYI...I do all my editing in RAW then reduce in size and convert to jpg after saving a psd file, just in case I want to re-edit at any time. Most of the jpgs come in around 150 kb without tweaking the slider much, but every now and then I have one that comes in away too big and it has to be resized, to the detriment of the image...I don't know what causes that.

Thanks ricardo! Images shot in RAW alright... had to resize to much smaller to get under the 150kb mark! but i will persist and maybe have more joy with my next attempt, thanks!
