I am thinking about signing up for a Smugmug account and dumping all my event photos on there and offering them for sale to everyone.
Currently I use flickr & Facebook for my favorite shots.

But before I do this, can I set the price of a print even with the basic account? They take care of printing & shipping right?

I haven't found any really good detailed reads but looking for some insight into the company.

I signed up for it a bit ago. I got the pro account. That way I have watermarks so there is no theft involved and no 'right clikage' available.

And yes, you can set the prices at your leisure, and they take care of printing and shipping. Now if you have the pro account you can choose between two print companies, the lower 2 accounts available (forget the names), you can only have access to the one. I chose bay photo (the one only available for pro).

There is a ton of customization on that website too. So much there, just take it one step at a time before making everything public, and make sure everything is covered so far as copyright, watermarks, and pricing, so someone doesn't stumble on some really nice "free" or "cheap" photos if you catch my drift.
