I've heard it said that a friend will help you move, but a good friend will help you move a body.

There is another mark of a good friend. That's someone who will make the long drive to be your chauffeur and shooting buddy even though he woke up with a migraine. Knowing that I was without a vehicle today ( it was tied up at the dealer for service ), that's what my buddy Joe did.

The weather forecast was for sunny breaks but all we had this morning was overcast and snow. Not the best for snappy, vibrant colors and instant AF lock. However, some days you just have to play the hand you're dealt, which is what we did. We found some cooperative mallards that were happy to fly for us.

I always love the sight of ducks in the air. They're great flyers but seem to have to work real hard at it. These are wonderful shots, Harvey. Amazing you got this much clarity in those conditions.

Dandy Duck shots my friend! Quite beautiful images for the nasty looking weather, it looks like what I have been seeing every other day....... capturing the ice on the bill is quite impressive... :)

I miss your buddy Joe's photos and dialog... please greet him from me.
