Decided to take my new 50mm 1.4 to the wet market. This is the market we shop in here in China. We buy most of our meat and vegetables from this market. It was a big change for us coming from America but now it seems like a normal place to shop although the smells can still get to you even after 8 years here. This is enclosed but not heated the temperature today was about -1° C (31° F) so that is why they are all wrapped in extra clothing and scarves. These are all shot in available light which was a mix of ambient, tungsten, and fluorescent. This made for very complex white balance problems as you can see in some of these photos.
