Bowen or Elinchrom

Professional Photographer gave Bowen the Hot One award 2010 for the 500r lights, but I would prefer the Pro 500 kit

Elinchrom kit I like has two Pro Style RX 600 and EL Skyport set $1,600.

Are these options just too much power for on location sunset shots or on location group shots of up to 30 people and the draw back on the Elinchrom is it does not come with a battery.

Are the Combi kits enough power to stop fast action in low light? Would I be better off buying the BX-Ri 500/500 kit with two softboxes, stands and bags?
