Hi,

I am into architecture and travel photography and normally sell my stock images to different agencies and people keeping in view the usage licenses. I have been asked to do a photography for a book regarding different places. This will involve lots of travelling and the work will be for hire under the US Copyright Act, that means I can't use these photos as my stock.

How should I approach this project and how much should I charge on a per day basis.

$1,200°° a day plus expenses ( travel, lodging, ... )

If you can not make anything after you take the photograph /('s)
Make it when you take the photograph.

$800°° - $1,200°° per day, plus expenses.

If you make a trip, when you return and spend a day processing photographs, that's a days labor.
Time spent with the client going over the past trips work, that's a days labor. ( they get paid to be there ) so should you!
